KOLKATA, JAN. 1. Bengal was in trouble against Madhya Pradesh finishing the second day of the Ranji Trophy Elite group A match at 70 for four here at the Eden Gardens on Saturday. Sourav Ganguly and nightwatchman S.S. Lahiri were at the crease at draw of stumps. Earlier, MP, resuming with 272 for four, ended its first innings at 392, thanks to some rear guard action by B. Tomar (38) and Sunil Dholpure (49 n.o.). Bengal pacer Shib Sankar Paul grabbed four wickets for 101 runs. Overnight unbeaten batsman Syed Abbas Ali added 10 runs before falling to Paul for 145.
