WARANGAL, JAN. 1. National Institute of Technology (NIT) director, Prof. D. K. Tripathy, has received the prestigious award instituted by the World Institution Building Programme for his outstanding contribution in the field of tertiary education in the country. The award was presented to him on December 30, 2004 at the `2004 Tertiary Education and Knowledge Summit' held at New Delhi. Prof. Tripathy was a senior faculty member of IIT, Kharagpur, before taking over as the director of NIT, Warangal.
