KOLKATA, JAN. 2. Helped by Ansul Gupta's 152, Delhi piled up 444 for eight before declaring its first innings against Tamil Nadu on the second day of the National under-15 cricket final for the Poly Umrigar Trophy here on Sunday. In a queer twist, the giant score now seems to be working against Delhi, which consumed almost two out of the scheduled three days in reaching the big total. Tamil Nadu, which scored 72 for one in the 12 overs before bad light put off the second day's play, now has the advantage as it just needs to keep its scoring rate above Delhi and not lose its wickets to realise the trophy. The laws specify that in case of the first innings remaining inconclusive, the run rates of the teams will be compared to decide the winner.
