Woman held on charge of killing children

A woman allegedly killed her two children - Anita (4) and Nani (11 months) - and dumped their bodies in the sump of her neighbour's house at Jilelguda under the L.B. Nagar police station limits on Sunday. Later, she tried to commit suicide.
According to the L.B. Nagar Inspector, Srinivas Reddy, the accused, Sangeeta (30), committed the dastardly act as she was furious with her husband, Suresh, allegedly a habitual drunkard, for not returning home that night. She allegedly woke up her children around 5 a.m. and throttled them to death. Later, Sangeeta allegedly dumped the bodies in the sump. She then woke up her neighbour and told him that one of her relatives had killed her children and that their bodies were in the sump.
