Symposium on mathematics syllabus for degree course

TIRUPATI. Jan. 2. The TTD-run S.V. Arts College here will be organising a one-day symposium on mathematics syllabus for degree course here on January 5. The symposium would special focus on practicals -- a new component introduced into the syllabus by the university from the academic year 2004-05.

K. G. N. Murthy, the symposium convener said the meet seeks to give the required orientation to the faculty handling math classes in various degree colleges in Chittoor district on the practicals, an aspect newly introduced into the curriculum.

Top academicians like the former heads of the SVU's Department of Mathematics, K. Sitaram, P.V. Arunachalam (former V-C of Dravidian University) and others would act as resource persons for the symposium, he added.

All the Principals and managements have been asked to depute their faculties for the programme and avail of the benefit.
