Four die in mishaps

A head constable in Central Reserve Police Force, B.V. Ravi (35) died and his colleague, S.K. Nair, was injured when the scooter on which they were travelling was hit by a speeding lorry at Pahadishareef on Sunday. The lorry driver has reportedly been taken into custody. A resident of Dynamic Colony in Jilelguda, T. Srinivas (36) who was injured when the motorcycle he was driving was hit by a speeding private school bus at Kanchanbagh on December 20, died on Sunday while undergoing treatment. In another mishap, 60-year-old P. Sunkanna, a watchman in a house at Jubilee Hills died after an unknown vehicle hit him while he was crossing the road at Madhapur on Saturday. In the fourth accident, a mason, K. Srinivas Rao (30) of Huda Colony died after his cycle was hit by an RTC bus near the Telephone Exchange at Chandanagar on Saturday.

Falls off train

A rickshaw puller, B. Kommaraiah (55) a resident of James Street, died after he slipped and fell off a moving MMTS train near Secunderabad railway station on Saturday. The Secunderabad railway police shifted the body.

Dies of burns

A class X student, Farhana Begum of Fatehnagar died after she accidentally caught fire while preparing tea at her residence on Saturday. She was a student of Saraswati High School, Balanagar.

Found dead

The body of an unidentified man aged around 50 was found near ESI Hospital at Sanjeevareddy Nagar on Saturday. In another case, the body of a man aged around 80 was found near Lalapet Kaman. At Chilkalguda, the body of man aged around 60 was found near the main gate of Gandhi Hospital on Saturday. Another body was found near Secunderabad railway station under the Gopalpuram police limits. It is suspected all four died due to cold.
