Rane in favour of more powers to Deve Gowda's sons
By Our Special Correspondent
DHARWAD,
JAN. 3.
Prabhakar Rane, former Minister and Janata Dal (S) leader, said there is nothing wrong in giving more party responsibilities to the former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda's sons H.D. Kumaraswamy, Working President of the State unit of the Janata Dal (S), and H.D. Revanna, Minister for Public Works and Energy.
Addressing presspersons here today, Mr. Rane said it is not true that Mr. Kumaraswamy and Mr. Revanna have been given special privileges and attention mainly because they are Mr. Deve Gowda's sons. The people of the State, he said, have accepted the constructive leadership provided by Mr. Kumaraswamy, he added.
Referring to the criticism of the style of functioning of Mr. Deve Gowda, Mr. Rane said party matters should be discussed at the appropriate fora and not in public.
