PATHANAMTHITTA, JAN. 3. The Pathanamthitta District Panchayat has disbursed Rs. 7,99,422 to orphanages and old-age homes in the district. The District Panchayat president, K.K. Royson, disbursed the money to the heads of various institutions at the panchayat conference hall here today. The institutions include Ayroor Carmel Old Age Home (Rs. 1,40,000); Ayroor Carmel Orphanage, Velliyara (Rs. 82,250); St Joseph's Orphanage, Puthusserry (Rs. 55,853); St. Philomena's Orphanage, Mallappally (Rs. 1,86,218); Yathimkhana, Vaipur (Rs. 64,750); Nazareth Ashram, Othera (Rs. 95,351) and Abhaya Bhavan, Muthoor (Rs. 17,500.)
