Dies of heart attack
A middle-aged pilgrim died of heart attack at the Saramkuthi on the trekking path in the morning, according to the Health Department sources at the Sannidhanam. He fell unconscious while standing in the queue; he was then taken to the Sannidhanam in a stretcher by Ayyappa Seva Sanghom volunteers. But for a token with number `873', no proof of identity was found on the body, the hospital sources said. The pilgrim is believed to have reached Sabarimala in a group. His body was taken to the mortuary at the Pathanamthitta General Hospital in the afternoon.
