This Day That Age
The first Test between India and Pakistan ended in a draw at Dacca on January 4. Pakistan were all out in their second innings for 158, leaving India to score 268 for victory. At close, India had made 146 for two in their second innings. Gupte brought about the collapse in Pakistan's second innings by capturing five wickets for only 18 runs in six overs. Three batsmen were run out. The scores: Pakistan 257 and 158; India 148 and 146 for two.
