TUTICORIN, JAN. 4. Host Tamil Nadu Electricity Board beat Caldwell Basketball Club, Tuticorin 61-39 in the inaugural match of the eighth annual TNEB Trophy State-level invitation basketball tournament at Thermal Nagar courts here on Tuesday.

The results: TNEB 61 (Ravichandran 19, Dhanasekar 13) bt Caldwell BC 39 (Vinodh 18, Jegadeesh 12).
