Student alleges
harassment
A student of Physiotherapy course of Durgabai Deshmukh Hospital and Research Centre accused her senior, Raghuveer, of harassing her. Based on a complaint, the Sultan Bazar police registered a criminal case and are looking out for the accused.
Found dead
A resident of Ashoknagar in Kushaiguda, Raj Kumar, 18, who allegedly eloped with a girl of the same locality on Sunday, was found dead under suspicious circumstances on the railway track near Bhongir. He reportedly took the girl to Yadagirigutta and his relatives, who saw, took him to task. Later, the girl returned home on Tuesday. The same evening, Raj Kumar was found dead.
House burgled
Thieves broke into the house of B. Sohan Singh, superintendent of Government Homeopathy Hospital, and took away jewellery and cash, all worth Rs. 4 lakh, in Panjagutta police station area. A resident of Road No. 3 in Banjara Hills, the doctor left for hospital after locking his house on January 1. From the hospital, he went to Vijayawada and returned to city on Monday only to find the house burgled.
