Free training for Army aspirants from tomorrow

DHARMAPURI, JAN. 5. In view of the recruitment rally by the Indian Army at the Nehru Stadium, Coimbatore, on January 18 and 19, the Dharmapuri district administration in association with the district Anti-Naxal Special Duty Wing will conduct a free physical training session from January 7 to 12.

The Collector, Ashish Vachhani, in a press release, said that the training session would be held at three centres in Dharmapuri, Pennagaram and Harur with preference to most backward, SC/ST and Adi-dravidar students. The event was being publicised by beating of tom-toms and distribution of notices in all VAO offices in the district.

The recruitment would be held for the posts of Soldier, Soldier Clerk and General Duty Soldier.

The minimum requirement for all the posts would be a pass in Plus Two.

Candidates were instructed on the documents to be presented at the rally.

In addition, the Collector had instructed the Tahsildars to facilitate any kind of certificate requirement on a priority basis.
