VISAKHAPATNAM, JAN. 5. The newly nominated members of the board of trustees of Sri Kanakamahalakshmi Temple in old city were sworn-in amidst fanfare on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, the Visakhapatnam-I MLA, Dronamraju Satyanarayana, said six of the new trustees were from Backward Classes and all nine were devotees of the deity. The members who were administered oath by the Assistant Commissioner of Endowments, S. Kondala Rao, were: Vankayala Sanyasi Raju alias Tatajee, Vaddadi Suryaprakasa Rao, Vadamodula Pentayya, Chavvakula Venkateswara Rao, Rachakonda Mehathajee, Pentapilli Satyanarayana, Chirala Satyanarayana Reddy and two women members, Paluri Suryavathi and Ramoju Mani. The Executive Officer and Deputy Commissioner of Endowments, B. Ananda Swaroopa Varma, welcomed the gathering.
