Convincing win for LA Polytechnic

KOVILPATTI, JAN. 5. Host Lakshmi Ammal Polytechnic College (Tirunelveli Division) beat Latha Mathavan Polytechnic College (Madurai Division) 4-1 in the final of the State-level inter-divisional hockey tournament for Polytechnic colleges here on Tuesday.

S. Karthick, K.P.S. Vijaya Prakash, P. Selva Ganesh and A. Padmanabhan scored for Lakshmi Ammal Polytechnic College while R. Vetrivelmurugan scored the only goal for the loser.

Earlier in the semifinals, Laskhmi Ammal Polytechnic College beat Salem Polytechnic College (Salem Division) 5-3 and Latha Mathavan beat Srinivasa Polytechnic College, Tiruchi (Tiruchi Division) 5-0.
