BANGALORE, JAN. 5. Prabhjyot Singh scored three goals and guided IOCL to a 8-1 victory over ONGC in a PSPB inter-unit championship Group B match at the KSHA Stadium here on Wednesday. IOCL's second successive victory helped it surge into the semi-finals while ONGC, runners-up in Group B, also qualified for the last four stage. Bikramjit Singh (2), Hamsa Mustaba (2) and Deepak Thakur also scored for the victors while Gurpreet Singh scored ONGC's lone goal in the 43rd minute. Earlier, OIL defeated EIL 2-0 in a Group A match and entered the semi-finals along with group topper BPCL. R. Anchari and P. Singh sounded the boards and nudged OIL past EIL. In the semi-finals on the morrow, IOCL will clash with OIL while BPCL will take on ONGC.
