Ernakulam leads in schools' youth fete

KOCHI, JAN. 5. Ernakulam sub-district led with 87 points in the Ernakulam Revenue District Schools' Youth Festival that began at North Paravur on Tuesday.

The Aluva and Thripunithura sub-districts followed in second place with 80 points each and Mattancherry sub- district is in third place with 67 points.

In the High School Sanskrit Festival, North Paravur sub-district led with 61 points. Angamaly and Aluva sub-districts followed with 59 points each and Perumbavoor sub-district is third with 54 points.

Angamaly sub-district led the Upper Primary Sanskrit Festival, with North Paravur and Aluva sub-districts in second and third places. In the Upper Primary level Bala Kalotsavam, Ernakulam sub-district led with Thripunithura and Muvattupuzha in second and third places.

Some of the results that were announced today are as follows:

UP Bala Kalotsavam

Poetry recitation: Shilpa K. Raj, SNV Sanskrit HSS, North Paravur (first), Sreekanth K.C., BSS UPS, Kalady (second), Vysakh Bejoy, St. Ann EMHSS, Eloor (third).
