Balakrishna case: witnesses cross-examined
HYDERABAD,
JAN. 5.
Three witnesses in the Balakrishna shooting case -- film producer, B. Suresh, astrologer, Satyanarayana Choudhary, and security guard, K. Rajeshwar Rao, who retracted their earlier statements -- were cross-examined at the Metropolitan Sessions Judge (MSJ) Court here on Wednesday.
Suresh and Choudhary stuck to their earlier depositions saying they did not remember their statements being recorded by a magistrate while they were undergoing treatment for the bullet wounds. They maintained that they could not give description of the actor's fans who opened fire. The guard, too, repeated his earlier statement. In reply to a question from the prosecution, he maintained that he did not see any of the actor's fans chasing Suresh out of the house as stated by the latter.
