South Asian Games postponed

COLOMBO, JAN. 6. The 10th South Asian Games, to be hosted by Sri Lanka in August, has been postponed by a year in the wake of the tsunami disaster.

Sri Lanka Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Jeewan Kumaratunga, said the Games, previously called the South Asian Federation (SAF) Games, were being postponed, as the time was not good to host such an event. — PTI
