CHENNAI, JAN. 6. Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep. The minimum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over South Interior Karnataka, coastal Karnataka, fell at one or two places over coastal Tamil Nadu, rose appreciably at one or two places over Rayalaseema, rose at one or two places over rest South Interior Karnataka, Telangana and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably above normal at one or two places over Telangana, North Interior Karnataka, North coastal Andhrapradesh, above normal at one or two places over the rest of Telangana, Rayalaseema, North Kerala, appreciably below normal at one or two places over North Interior Tamil Nadu, below normal at one or two places over the rest of Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Arogyavaram and Hyderabad Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 13 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Saturday morning): Isolated light rain is likely to occur over south Tamil Nadu, south Kerala and southern parts of Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over north Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, north Kerala and northern parts of Lakshadweep.

Farmers Weather Bulletin for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry (Forecast: valid until the morning of 8th January 2005): Isolated light rain is likely to occur over south Tamil Nadu and mainly sunny weather will prevail over north Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
