BEL pays interim dividend

BANGALORE: Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) has declared 40 per cent interim dividend for 2004-05. The Chairman and Managing Director, Y. Gopala Rao, presented the interim dividend cheque for Rs. 24.27 crores to the Defence Minister, Pranab Mukherjee, in New Delhi on Wednesday. This is the first time BEL has declared an interim dividend. For fiscal 2003-04, the defence PSU paid its highest ever dividend of 100 per cent and also reached its highest ever turnover of Rs. 2,798.60 crores. — Our Special Correspondent
