SBI Life launches unit linked plan

BANGALORE: SBI Life Insurance Co. has launched Horizon, a unit linked life insurance product (ULIP). The unique feature is automatic asset allocation. Experts at SBI Life Insurance automatically reallocate funds on a regular basis at no extra cost. This means the policyholder need to actively monitor investments or switch the portfolio or `time' the market. Horizon is being offered under two options. Plan A, named Dynamic Plan will have a higher proportion of the money invested in equities. Towards maturity, the equity to debt ratio is changed to ensure safer returns. It is suggested as ideal for investment for terms over 15 years. Under the Growth Plan, investments are more balanced and investments made in less risky options. Considered ideal for 10-15 year terms. — Our Special Correspondent
