Risk weightage on housing loans

MUMBAI, JAN. 6. The Reserve Bank of India has increased the risk weightage by 25 per cent to 75 per cent on housing loans extended by primary urban cooperative banks to individuals who are fully secured by mortgage of residential properties.

The bank through a notification has also increased the risk weight on consumer credit, including personal loans, from 100 per cent to 125 per cent. — PTI
