CUDDAPAH, JAN. 6. Sri Venkaiah Swamy temple committee members protested at Kodur on Thursday, resenting the alleged demolition of an ancient cattle shed and kitchen on the temple premises. The committee members picked up a row with the Kodur sarpanch, Muralidhar Goud, near the temple alleging that he got them razed with a bulldozer. They questioned the sarpanch's move to build a dhobi ghat on the temple site when vacant land was available in the vicinity. The committee members staged wanted the demolished structures to be reconstructed. The CPI(M) district executive member, C.H. Chandrasekhar, and the CPI town secretary, Mohan, also took part in the protest.
