National Informatics Olympiad

NEW DELHI,
JAN. 6.
The National Informatics Olympiad will be organised in India and abroad by the Central Board of Secondary Education and the Indian Association for Research in Computing Science (IARCS). The first stage of examination will be conducted on January 29 between 10 a.m. and 12 noon in different cities. Students of all schools -- CBSE and other boards -- studying in Class VII - XII can participate in the programme. All those interested in participating may forward their candidature through the principal of their school to the nearest nodal school on or before January 20.
Candidates qualifying in the first stage of the Olympiad will appear in the second stage in May 2005. Twenty candidates selected in the second state will get intensive training and four candidates will be selected from the training programme to represent the country at the International Informatics Olympiad.
