BANGALORE, JAN. 6. The State cross country championship will be held at Chikmagalur on January 23, under the auspices of the Karnataka Amateur Athletic Association. The meet carries a prize-money of Rs. 50,000 and the organisers will provide free boarding and lodging to all outstation competitors. Races will be held in the following sections: Men (12-km and 4-km), women (8-km and 4-km), under-20 boys (8-km) and under-20 girls (6-km). Entries may be sent by January 20 to Rajendra Kumar Kataria, IAS, Chairman, Organising Committee, Office of the District Youth Services, District Stadium, Jyothi Nagar, Chikmagalur-577102.
