Donations to relief funds

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM,
JAN. 6.
Rehabilitation Plantations Limited, Punalur, has contributed Rs. 3 lakhs to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund, and an amount of Rs. 2 lakhs to the Prime Ministers Relief Fund.
The company has also arranged for the purchase and distribution of 1,500 plastic mattresses at the relief camps in Kollam, the cost of which is about Rs. 1 lakh.
Employees of the South Indian Bank will contribute a day's salary coming to Rs. 20 lakhs to the Prime Minister's relief fund, according to a release today.
The Canara Bank Employees Union will contribute a day's salary, which amounts to Rs. 10 lakhs, to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund.
