NEW DELHI, JAN. 6. Chetan Chauhan hit the winning boundary and was unbeaten on 102, as the Indian Parliamentarians scored a five-wicket win over their British counterparts at the Nehru Stadium here on Thursday. Medium-pacer Philip Mellows was declared the man-of-the-match. The parliamentarians from both sides later pledged their support towards the relief measures being carried out for the tsunami victims. The British parliamentarians donated Rs.2 lakh while the Indians contributed Rs.30 lakh. Also, the principal sponsor of the Indo-British cricket tour, KPMG, contributed Rs.10 lakh.
UK Parliamentarians 251 for five in 30 overs lost to Indian Parliamentarians 253 for five in 29.4 overs (Chetan Chauhan 102 not out, Kirti Azad 69).
