MUMBAI, JAN. 6. Gaganjeet Bhullar remained ahead of the field on the penultimate day of the Royal Challenge Western India Amateur Golf, leading his nearest rival A. S. Lehal by seven strokes at the par-70 BPGC course, here on Thursday. One of India's young talents on the green, he recorded three-over 73 for a tally of six-under 204. Second-placed Lehal had a level par 70 for one-over 211, followed by H. S. Kang in third place on the leaderboard with three over 73. The Kapurthala golfer did not play to the level he displayed on first two days, coming up with four bogeys, three of them on front nine. A birdie on the last hole was cause for cheer and he will be hoping to get back his rhythm on the final day.
