KOLLAM, JAN. 6. The 17th Kollam district schools youth festival will be held at Kottiyam from January 7 to 10. The main venue of the festival will be C.F. High School. At a press conference here today, the general convener of the festival, L. Kamalamma, said the festival was earlier scheduled to be held in Karunagapally from January 6 to 8. The date and venue were changed following the tsunami strike, as many schools had been converted into relief camps. The traditional cultural procession in connection with the festival has been cancelled in view of the disaster. There would be six other venues, including NSM Girls High School, Auxillium English Medium School and the CF TTI, all at Kottiyam.
