BANGALORE, JAN. 6. Traffic in the central parts of the city is likely to be affected on Friday as the Karnataka Pradesh Kurubara Sangha has announced a rally in protest against the demolition of "Kanaka gopura" at the Sri Krishna Temple in Udupi. The Sangha has said the procession will culminate in a public meeting at the Palace Grounds. The Chief Minister, N. Dharam Singh, and the Deputy Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, would visit the venue of the meeting and receive a memorandum, the Commissioner of Police, S. Mariswamy, told The Hindu on Thursday. He said the police had made arrangements to prevent any law and order problem. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic East), M. Abdulla Saleem, said traffic on Seshadri Road and Palace Road through which the procession would be taken out could be diverted.
