GUNTUR, JAN. 6. The three-day jail retreat at the District Jail here concluded on Thursday with the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Jail,s Rajahmundry range, B. Mahendra, giving a call to prisons staff to work with dedication. The suggestion of lighter punishment for small mistakes by the staff was rejected by the DIG, Jails, and wanted them to take ultimate responsibility of the inmates round the clock. The Guntur Jail Superintendent, K. Nageswara Rao, was also present.
