Clear sky forecast

Mainly clear sky with no significant change in weather has been forecast for Friday. Temperatures recorded on Thursday were a maximum of 30.5 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 17.2 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity was 38 per cent.

Prayers for tsunami victims

St. Francis College, in collaboration with the Tsunami Reach Out Services (TROS), is organising an inter-faith prayer for victims of the tsunami on January 11 at the college in Begumpet from 9.30 a.m. to 12 noon. The prayer meeting will be for those who lost their lives in the disaster and for the survivors who are experiencing the trauma of the catastrophe. The Principal of the college has requested schools, colleges, religious institutions and NGOs from the twin cities to join in this effort and alleviate the suffering of fellowmen and help them live afresh with hope, according to a press note.

Salar Jung Museum will celebrate Museum Week from January 8 to 14 with Rangoli competitions, special lectures and film shows. Physically challenged persons will be allowed free of charge all through the week while there is a special concession Rs. 4 in entrance fee for children and students.
