AIR to broadcast programme on tribals

VISAKHAPATNAM, JAN. 6. The Girijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC) and the local station of AIR would broadcast a programme -- Aadivasi Antarangam -- on Sunday evenings.

Several aspects like collection of forest produce, sale, loans, problems faced in receiving essential commodities through the Daily Requirement depots would be covered in the programme.

A tribal could discuss his or her problems with the Managing Director of the GCC, A. Vidyasagar. He would answer questions from the tribals of any area, during the programme to be held from 6.52 p.m. on January 9. They could contact him on telephones 0891 2560280 or 2727200 during the programme or through post, at the Aadivasi Antarangam, Station Director, AIR, Visakhapatnam-530 003.
