Telangana only by consensus: Bardhan
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
JAN. 6.
The Communist Party of India (CPI) has stated that separate Telangana can be formed only on the basis of consensus among political parties, including those not in the UPA.
Addressing the press at the conclusion of the party's three-day National Council meeting on Thursday, the CPI general secretary, A.B. Bardhan, welcomed the formation of a three-member committee to ascertain views of political parties on Telangana and said: "There has to be consensus among all parties, including the BJP and the TDP. Otherwise, it is not feasible to move ahead."
