BANGALORE, JAN. 7. A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Special Court here has sentenced Sridevi, a Syndicate Bank employee, to three years of imprisonment and fined her Rs. 4,000 for fraudulently withdrawing money from bank accounts. The Anti-Corruption Cell of the CBI had filed a charge-sheet in the court alleging that Sridevi fraudulently withdrew Rs. 22,000 from some non-operative accounts when she was a clerk in Syndicate Bank's Frazer Town branch in 1991.
Jail for burglary
The V Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court has sentenced Krishna Nayak (28) to three years imprisonment and fined him Rs. 4,000 for committing a burglary. Nayak of Sarabandepalya was arrested by the Kumaraswamy Layout police on charges of burglary.
