CHITTOOR, JAN. 7. The Chittoor division of APSRTC has netted a profit of Rs.1.17 crores, according to Seshagiri Rao, Division Manager. Talking to mediapersons here on Friday, he said that Chittoor division consisted of eight depots of which three were running on profits and the other five were running on losses. The Chittoor 1 and 2 and Kuppam depots had earned a profit of Rs.73 lakhs, Rs.75 lakhs and Rs.71 lakhs respectively between April and November last. The five depots -- B. Kothakota, Piler, Palamaner and Madanapalli 1 & 2 were running on losses of Rs.32 lakhs Rs. 43 lakhs and Rs.12.74 lakhs and Rs.5.5 lakhs respectively. An amount of Rs.12.75 per km was being collected from travellers by the corporation against the expenditure of Rs.13.33 per km resulting a net loss of 58 paisa per km.
