Prerna in line for a double

GURGAON, JAN. 7. Prerna Mythri of Hyderabad made it to the finals in the girls' under-16 and under-14 sections in the Delta AITA super series junior tennis tournament at the NTA Complex here on Friday.

The results: Boys: Under-16 (semifinals): Christopher Marquis bt Dhruv Gupta 6-3, 6-3; B. Vikram Reddy bt Vinay Kamineni 7-6(1), 6-1; Quarterfinals: Christopher Marquis bt Menta Gopinath 7-5, 6-4; Dhruv Gupta bt Subhash Rao 6-3, 6-2.

Under-14 (semifinals): Ronak Manuja bt Shiva Sangwan 6-2, 6-3; Menta Gopinath bt Mansingh Athare 6-3, 6-3.

Girls: Under-16 (semifinals): Prerna Mythri bt Apoorva Makan 6-1, 6-1; Y. P. Aishwarya bt Prerna Bhambri 6-4, 7-5; Quarterfinals: Prerna Mythri bt Gopika Kapoor 6-0, 6-0; Apoorva Makar bt Nikitha Devraj 6-2, 7-5; Y. P. Aishwarya bt Garima Vatwani 6-3, 6-1; Prerna Bhambri bt Divija Mandava 7-5, 7-5.

Under-14 (semifinals): Janaki Rao bt Aishwarya Srivastava 6-4, 6-4; Prerna Mythri bt Prerna Bhambri 6-2, 6-3.
