Weather

Forecast: Mainly clear sky. Fog is likely during morning hours. Minimum temperature would be around 19 degrees Celsius. Waltair, the maximum temperature was 28.8 degrees Celsius and the minimum was 20.6 degrees Celsius respectively on Friday. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 72 per cent and at 5.30 p.m was 73 per cent. At Airport, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 30.8 degrees Celsius and 19 degrees Celsius respectively.

Bank officers' test

The SBI probationary officers examination will be conducted on January 9 after being postponed from an earlier date.

The examination will now be held at the same venues in the city and the candidates should appear along with hall tickets, the Deputy General Manager of SBI's Zonal Office said in a press release.

Yoga camp

Patanjali Yoga Kendra will organise a 10-day free yoga and naturopathy camp from Jan. 10. The camp offers treatment for chronic ailments like asthma, cold, sinusitis, allergy etc through yoga asana, pranayama, meditation and yonganidra.

BSNL tariff

hiked

The BSNL has increased its pulse duration as well as rate per call unit for local public telephones. The pulse duration of all local calls to basic services, including Wireless in Local Loop, fixed and limited mobile, and to cellular phones has been increased from 90 seconds to 120 second and the rate per call unit goes up from the existing Re.1 to Rs.2, according to the General Manager of BSNL Visakhapatnam Telecom District.
