VISAKHAPATNAM, JAN. 7. The Central public sector undertaking, National Aluminium Company Limited, would become the sixth largest aluminium producer in the world once its expansion scheme was implemented, its General Manager (port facilities), M. Venkatapathi, said here on Friday. Presiding over the silver jubilee celebrations of Nalco's foundation, Dr. Venkatapathi, said that at present the company was ranked tenth in the globe. The Chairman of Visakhapatnam Port Trust, Mr.K. Ratna Kishore, who was the chief guest, congratulated Nalco on its consistent and spectacular achievements since its inception and hoped that it would scale greater heights in the coming years. Earlier, Mr. Mohapatra welcomed the invitees. Mr. Patnaik proposed a vote of thanks. A cultural programme by Nalco employees was the highlight of the celebrations.
