Mainly clear sky

A mainly clear sky with the minimum temperature likely to be around 16 degree Celsius is the forecast for the city on Saturday. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded on Friday were 31.1 degree Celsius and 15.8 degree Celsius respectively while the relative humidity stood at 40 per cent.

Martial arts

The Golden Dragons association, Asa Bhanu Japan Centre, in association with Jalavihar is organising a Japanese martial arts competition and demonstration of "Kendo" (Sport of Japanese fencing) at Jalavihar on Necklace road on January 13. Symposium

The Pearl City chapter of Project Management Institute in association with Vasavi College of Engineering is organising a one-day symposium on "Systems approach to Project management" at Vasavi College on Saturday. Students from 10 colleges would participate in the symposium that is aimed at creatubg awareness among the students on core concepts of project management.

Jain Muni

`pravachan'

The Terapanth Jain Muni, Sri Kamal Muni, disciple of Parampujya Sri Acharya Sri Maha Pragyaji, is in the city and will be available at Jain Bhavan, Terapanth Marg, DV Colony on Ministers Road on Saturday. Those interested can participate in his `pravachan' between 9 a.m and 10 a.m on Saturday.

The programme "Snehmilan" at Ramkote will be held between 9 a.m and 11 a.m on Sunday.

Awareness

A free public awareness and education programme on antibiotics and their misuse will be organised by the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) at the NIMS Learning Centre from 5.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. on Saturday. NIMS microbiologist, P. Uma Bala, will deliver a lecture on the topic and will later field questions from the audience, according to a press release.

Sundaram Home Finance is organising a `Spot Home Loan' event at its branch office in Secunderabad, between January 7 and 9.According to a press release, customers can check out home improvement and home extension loans also during this period.
