MADURAI, JAN. 7. The Madurai Division of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation has made a contribution of Rs.61.86 lakhs towards the Rs.2.81-crore relief fund collected as one-day salary from employees of several State Transport Undertakings in the State. A total of Rs.5.31 crores, including donations from the Tamil Nadu Transport Development Finance Corporation and the TNSTC Divisions of Kumbakonam and Salem, was handed over to the Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, by the Transport Minister, R. Viswanathan, in the presence of the Special Commissioner and Secretary to Government, R. Karpoorasundarpandian, in Chennai on January 4.
