ERODE, JAN. 8. The Civil Supplies wing of the Revenue Department will distribute 1,24,696 new ration cards in the district from January 10, the Collector, D. Karthikeyan, said today. He told reporters here that printing of the same was over and the distribution would be made simultaneously in all the seven taluks from January 10. The Collector said that the applicants should contact their respective ration shops with the counterfoil of the application and collect the cards after paying Rs. 5. Any person mentioned in the card can collect it, he added. The cards would be distributed between 10 a.m. and 5.45 p.m.
