CHENNAI, JAN. 8. Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep. The minimum temperature rose at one or two places over south interior Karnataka and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably below normal at one or two places over north interior Tamil Nadu, below normal at one or two places over coastal Tamil Nadu, appreciably above normal at one or two places over Telangana, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, above normal at one or two places over Rayalaseema and were generally normal over the rest of the region. Dharward recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 12 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Monday morning): Isolated light rain is likely to occur over south Tamil Nadu, south Kerala and southern parts of Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over north Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, north Kerala and northern parts of Lakshadweep.

Farmers Weather Bulletin for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry (Forecast: valid until the morning of 10th January 2005): Isolated light rain is likely to occur over south Tamil Nadu and mainly sunny weather will prevail over rest Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
