PRODDATUR, JAN. 8. The Home Minister, K. Jana Reddy, on Saturday visited the injured Ayyappa devotees belonging to Nalgonda district. Two Ayyappa devotees, Bodem Venkatesam (40) and Ediga Yellaiah (48), died while eight others -- Gopal, Raju, Sudarshan, Jagan, Sankar, Manikantha, Venkata and Sankar -- were hurt when a lorry hit their van near Chinthakunta cross in Duvvur mandal on Friday night. The deceased as well as those injured belonged to Bhoodan Pochampalle in Nalgonda district. The lorry driver was severely injured and was trapped in the cabin. They were returning from Sabarimala, when the mishap occurred.
