Water supply to be hit

NEW DELHI, JAN. 8.

Large parts of the Capital will witness shortage of water on Sunday and Monday due to maintenance work. Water supply will be available at low pressure in Dwarka Sector-7, JJC on Sunday due to annual flushing of booster pumping station, overhead tank and underground reservoir, according to the Delhi Jal Board.

In E-block, Rohini Sector-18, CA and CB Block of Shalimar Bagh, CSP Flats East of Kailash, Motia Khan DDA Flats, Duzana House Area, Okhla Industrial Area-II part of Gobindpuri, New Rajinder Nagar, R-Block New Rajinder Nagar, Double Storey New Rajinder Nagar, NPL Complex and DDA Flats Sarai Khaleel water supply will be at low pressure. The reason cited for this is annual flushing of booster pumping station, overhead tank and underground reservoir.

Water supply would be affected in Sarswati Vihar, Sharda Niketan, Sainik Vihar, Harsh Vihar, Lok Vihar, Ashok Vihar-I, II and III, Rampura, Lawrance Road, Nimari Colony and Bharat Nagar in the evening on January 10.

Residents have been advised to store sufficient quantity of water. Water tankers would be available at telephone numbers 27464656 (Ashok Viahr), 27049925 (Rohini Zone), 25711129 (Rajinder Nagar), 26100644 (R.K.Puram), 23370911 (I.P.Pumping Station), 26137216 (Vasant Kunj), 26414746 (Greater Kailash) and 26473720 (Giri Nagar).
