VISAKHAPATNAM, JAN. 8. Visakhapatnam won the boys under-19 team championship in the State School Games judo championships held at Nizamabad last week. M. Srinu and P.V. Muralikanth won gold medals while R.D.K. Reddy and K. Nookaraju claimed silver medals. B. Eswar Chandra won a bronze. M. Meena won a gold in the under-14 championships held at Warangal. The District Judo Association's chief coach, Ch. Devadanam and Ch. Samuel Raju, coached them all. The three gold medal winners have been selected to the AP team for the National School Games championships to be held in Gujarat from Jan. 17. The president of the District Judo Association, Rolland Williams, felicitated the medals winners and their coach at a function held on Thursday evening. He also announced that DJA would offer free coaching for students at the Swarna Bharathi Indoor Stadium.
