S. Zone posts win
VISAKHAPATNAM,

South Zone defeated Central Zone by 30 runs in the round robin league of the ACA inter-zone under-22 tournament for the V.P. Raju Trophy (one-day) at Kakinada on Saturday, according to a report received here.
South, electing to bat, was well served by Mahendra Reddy (91, 129b, 11x4) and Rakesh (69, 99b, 11x4) as it made 251 for six. D. Satish and V.V.V. Appa Rao claimed three and two wickets for Central.
For Central, which fell short of the target by 30 runs, V. Lenin (67, 98b, 1x6, 8x4) and Kameswara Rao (51 not out, 75b, 6x4) batted well.
The scores: South Zone 251 for six in 50 overs (Mahendra Reddy 91, Rakesh 69) bt Central Zone 221 for nine (V. Lenin 67, Kameswara Rao 51 n.o.).
