CHENNAI, JAN. 8. Integral Coach Factory (ICF) topped with 578 points in the all-India inter-Railway weightlifting championship here on Saturday. ICF retained the team title for the fifth year running. Northern Railway with 530 points finished second and Southern Railway, 526, third. Northern Railways' Amarjit Singh Sandhu, with a total of 325, won the 100kg category and his team-mate Vipin Kumar (total 340kg) was the winner in the 105 plus contest.
100kg: 1. Amarjit Singh Sandhu (NR) Snatch: 142.5; Clean & Jerk: 182.5; Total 325 kg; 2. Purshottam (CR) 132.5; 177.5; 310; 3. Mandeep Kumar (NR): 140, 170, 310.
105kg plus: 1. Vipin Kumar (NR) 155; 185; 340; 2. Shamsher Singh (CR) 145; 190; 335; 3. Kishore Kumar (SR): 137.5; 190; 327.5.
Overall championship: 1. ICF 578 points; 2. NR 530; 3. SR 526.
