Former college principal passes away

THRISSUR JAN. 8. The former principal of St. Thomas College here and a priest of the Thrissur Archdiocese, Father Paul Alappatt, died today. He was 68.
Father Alappatt was working as priest at the Forane Church at Mattam in the district.
He complained of chest pain around 2.30 a.m. and died while being taken to hospital by the church staff.
Father Alappatt worked at many churches in the district. He was syndicate member of Calicut University. According to the diocese sources, the last rites will be performed on Monday afternoon at the Vadachira Church cemetery.
